A daily sight in the refrigerator.
Elin's blocked tear duct gets really goopy sometimes. So we put this cream on her lower lid and it makes it all better. I hope she grows out of this and doesn't need surgery to open it open.
On the way back from Grandma Weaver's house it was dinner time. The nearest thing to us at the time was McDonald's. We didn't want to sit at McDonald's all night so we used a water cup, put her cereal in it and got in the car. She ate just fine and we stayed on schedule.
This is Elin's FAVORITE toy. This was a Christmas present from the Stevenson's. She absolutely loves this thing. It's always in the car seat with her and will entertain her for a long time.
I spent the day sewing. We have two cousins having baby showers in the next month. I decided to try a new way of making receiving blankets. I love how they turned out and they weren't hard, just took a little bit of time. I still have to make the burp cloths.
I'm going to quilt. When I was pregnant I made to quilt tops. One for a boy and one for a girl. I really thought we were going to have a boy so I finished that one first. I'm going to use my new presser feet for my sewing machine and machine quilt this one. These were the templates I used to make the sewing pattern.
The kids loved these. They are always in the cupboard. The reason I buy the lite ones, is because there is only pears and juice in them, no corn syrup. They will never know the difference so I buy these.
I was trying to do a mini photo shoot with Elin. It lasted only 5 minutes. Bad timing on my part. But I love how her eyes are sparkling in this photo.
This day was a playdate at the Norris'. The kids love playing there and Amy is a great friend to me. We learned that a roll of CAUTION tape will entertain the kids for hours. Who knew?
Elin's bald spot. Poor thing. She has rubbed the hair off in her crib before going to sleep. the new growth looks pretty blond though.
Playdate with the Carter's. Ashlyn and Caylin love to dress up and today Ivan wanted to dress up too. This was his new football outfit. I tried showing him how to do a 3 point stance, but he only would do a 4 point stance :)
Elin and George. Ivan named his pillow pet George and Elin lights up, hugs and kisses this panda. I love the expression on her face in this photo.
Making banana bread and cleaning up afterwards. The kids love helping me in the kitchen and they are getting really good at measuring and mixing things. This was the first time I let "wash" the dished all by themselves. They did a pretty good job at it. I only had to rewash a few things.
Elin standing up. She is getting pretty strong. She'll be walking too soon.
Ivan's new meds. Ivan had what I thought was a pimple/infected hair on his arm. I took him to the doctor since it was getting pretty sore. She put him on antibiotics, then sent the culture to the lab. @ days later they call saying he has to have new meds, because it's MRSA. Let me just say this threw me for a loop. He's doing fine and only had to have the meds and a band aid on- so far.
Elin loves Donald. Ivan gave her his Donald the other day. We have realized that she loves to chew on the beak. She sat here for about 30 minutes doing just that.
Tag reader = best toy ever!!! This was before church. They were "reading" to each other.
Ivan sharing his Notre Dame hat with Elin.
Playing Flica. This is their "pen" where they are training, and galloping like Flica. I love how their imaginations are so vivid and growing.
My first bag. I sewed this in 3 hours. I'm going to use it as my bible study bag and library bag. I love the colors and how it turned out.
Making Valentines. Caylin and Ivan loved making these. Now we have to get them in the mail :)
